Microsoft to give new handset to all employees

If you work at Microsoft then you may consider yourself rather lucky. Whether or not you know about this I don’t know or don’t really care but I do know that Microsoft are planning to give all their employees one of their swanky new Windows Phone 7 handsets free of charge. Pretty handy if you want a new mobile phone eh?

Some off the new Sony Ericsson phones and new LG phones won’t even touch the sides when it comes to the Windows Phone 7 being released, as they have been working away at the handset for over a year and a half now.

The handset should be hitting the shelves in the coming months and the question that’s on a lot of peoples lips is whether it will improve on the rather disappointing Windows Mobile. If anything this is a good way to get those slackers working hard again as you could see it as an early Christmas bonus and it is definitely a rather shrewd PR move from Microsoft.

Surprisingly the handset comes with a full suite of Microsoft Office 2010 apps and rather interestingly, Microsoft have set OneNote as the primary app, as they reckon that this is the one that customers will use and need the most out of all the other apps.

Overall the new handset from Microsoft seems to be a lot better than the first handset that was on Windows Mobile and everything is looking a lot more promising the second time round!
